The estimated savings from declining all new optional benefits is less than $10 per month.
The potential out-of-pocket exposure after a serious accident:
could be up to hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Under Ontario's no-fault insurance system, your own policy covers your injuries regardless of who caused the accident. If optional coverages are not added to your policy, you will not have that protection when you need it.

The Decisions You Make Now Can Affect You Later

Ontario's auto insurance changes affect every driver.

You're new to Ontario or new to Canadian auto insurance.

You use your vehicle for work or deliveries.

Standard personal auto insurance in Ontario may not cover accidents that happen while you're driving for commercial reasons. In Ontario, if you are covered, accident benefits will cover injuries regardless of who's at fault. Since some benefits will soon become optional, reviewing your coverage is essential.
If you're an employee:
  • Am I covered if something happens during a shift?
  • Does my employer know how I use my vehicle?
If you're an employer or business owner:
  • Are all drivers in my business properly listed on the auto policy and covered?
  • What's my exposure if an unlisted driver is in an accident?
